- Turn in wide loops, not sharp zigzags. Most deaths come from doubling back into your own neck. If you never make two quick turns in a row, you almost never trap yourself.
- Chase the food with your eyes, not your fingers. Look at where the food is, plan the route, then input the turns calmly. Panic-steering is the number one score killer.
- Use the whole board late game. When your snake gets long, treat it like a queue: follow your own tail at a safe distance and pick up food as the gap opens.
